Chevonne brings 23 years of experience in the field of special education, with over 9 years of experience within NWLSD. Her extensive background in education and leadership makes her an invaluable addition to the district’s administrative team.

Chevonne Neal attended Miami University, where she earned a degree in Special Education. She began her teaching career in 2001 at Mt. Healthy, her alma mater. Initially, she worked as an intervention specialist and later transitioned into the role of special education coordinator at Mt. Healthy Junior-Senior High School. During her tenure at Mt. Healthy, she furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the College of Mount Saint Joseph.

Chevonne is excited to continue serving the staff, students, and families of Northwest Local Schools in her new role as Director of Special Education.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chevonne into the new role of Director of Special Education,” said Darrell Yater, Superintendent of NWLSD. “Chevonne has been instrumental in ensuring that our students with disabilities receive a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs.
