Question: What criteria will be used to determine eligibility for Open Enrollment into the NWLSD?

Answer: Enrollment projections in each building and grade will be used to determine the number of spaces available for open enrolling students. Also, all Open Enrollment applicants’ discipline records from the previous school year will be reviewed for eligibility to open enroll into the NWLSD.

NO students will be approved for Open Enrollment who had a 10 consecutive day suspension and/or expulsion from school during the previous school year.
NO student who has been convicted of a crime involving drugs, weapons, physical violence, or complicity in any such offenses, will be permitted to Open Enroll in the NWLSD.
