Dustin Gehring Selected as Principal of Colerain Middle School

Northwest Local School District (NWLSD) proudly announces the selection of Dustin Gehring as the new Principal of Colerain Middle School. With a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership within the district, Gehring is poised to lead Colerain Middle School to new heights of academic excellence and student success.


Gehring's journey within the Northwest Local School District began in 2001 when he joined as a social studies teacher at Colerain High School (CHS). Over the years, he has demonstrated his dedication and commitment to education, holding various roles within the district, including serving as the Assistant Principal at CHS from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, he transitioned to the role of Principal at White Oak Middle School. He later became the Director of Student Services in 2017, where he has served ever since. In all of his roles, Dustin has consistently demonstrated his passion for fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the holistic development of every student.


Gehring holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's Degree in History from the College of Mount St. Joseph. His academic background, combined with his extensive experience in educational leadership, positions him as an ideal candidate to lead Colerain Middle School into a new era of academic achievement and innovation.


“I could not be more thrilled about the opportunity to continue to serve my community as the principal of Colerain Middle School,” said Dustin Gehring. “As a past NWLSD teacher and now district administrator, I have always been impressed with the staff and students at Colerain Middle School and I am truly looking forward to working with all of them to continue the great things happening at CMS.

Dustin will step into his new role on August 1, 2024, pending Board approval.
