Good Afternoon Northwest Families! Please take a moment to read our January Newsletter.

NWHS Staff and Families,
Northwest Local School District Administration has made the decision to close Northwest High School tomorrow, Thursday, October 31, 2024 only having staff members report to allow them to adequately prepare for the return of students on Friday.
The incident that occurred this afternoon has understandably caused great concern among our school community, and we want to take every measure possible to ensure that our students and staff feel safe and supported when they return to school.
Tomorrow will be dedicated to reflecting on today’s occurrence in order to identify any safety concerns and to prepare staff on how to best support students who may have been emotionally impacted by the situation today.
We understand that the closure of the school tomorrow can be disruptive, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our students and their families. However, we believe that this precautionary measure is essential in providing a supportive learning environment for our students as they return on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Your child's safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. The Counseling Department will be available to provide support for our families and students. Students in need of the support can visit the Counseling Office between 9 am - 1 pm tomorrow.
We are committed to ensuring that Northwest High School remains a safe and nurturing place for all our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our school administration at 513-851-7300.

Student Spotlight: "Northwest High School not only impacted my overall development and sense of belonging, it also changed my character. It helped me grow as a person and see opportunities in my interests, like choir. I wasn’t sure about joining at first, but my teacher encouraged me to join and to be the best I can be.” - Amiya Monroe, 2024 NWHS Graduate #NWLSDgobeyond
