This week's nominee for the Cincinnati Enquirer's Student of the Week is Layla Klotz. Here is her nomination:

"Layla is one of the most exceptional students Colerain has seen in years and stands out in everything she does. Her academic accolades are beyond impressive. Layla has been on the honor roll for four years, is an active member of the National Honor Society (serving as both historian and treasurer), was awarded 1st-Team recognition for the Academic Quiz Team, where she also serves as team captain, and achieved an ACT score of 35. She has also been secretary and is currently co-president of the Class Officers, and she reached a state-level achievement in the PTA Reflections competition in the literature category. Most importantly, Layla was recognized as a National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Scholar in her senior year. Additionally, she is a member of the book club, is the captain of the VEX Robotics team, was part of the CHS volleyball team (and now plays recreationally), and tutors elementary students."
