Best Point
Northwest High School partners with a local agency called Best Point to provide therapy services to students at school. These therapists have offices in our building, allowing them to conveniently meet with students during the school day. If you are interested in services through Best Point, you can ask your school counselor for more information or check out the website at https://bestpoint.org/.
MindPeace & Psychology Today
MindPeace and Psychology Today are well-known, trusted websites that you can use to find a list of local therapists, counseling centers, psychiatrists, treatment groups and more. Both websites include filters to help you locate a specific type of provider that you are looking for (filter examples: zipcode, insurance type, mental health area of concern).
Crisis Hotlines
There are several organizations that provide hotlines for individuals to call and receive mental health support:
988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline - Call or text 988 to talk with a crisis counselor 24/7.
Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 to connect with a crisis counselor 24/7.
The Trevor Project - (866) 488-7386 provides free, confidential support 24/7 to LBGTQ youth via a helpline, text and online messaging system.
Teen Health & Wellness provides a list of hotlines, help lines, and information lines to receive help for specific mental health disorders and other issues.
